...for Fiji’s Mamanuca and Yasawa Island Resort accommodation & island transfersTo get started read our FAQ & Helpful Tips or jump right into it - it's easy!
STEP ONE: WHERE DO YOU WANT TO STAY? Use the map below or view resort descriptions on our Island Escape pages to choose where to stay. You can stay at any and as many coconut levels as you wish. NOTES: Each property has a minimum 2 night stay policy. We highly recommend you travel in ONE DIRECTION: either North to South or South to North. This means you'll fit in with the schedule of the Yasawa Flyer, and also maximise your time on the islands. HINTS: Click on the icons on the map to view brief resort descriptions. From there, you can click through to full resort descriptions and prices.
STEP TWO: START ADDING YOUR RESORT CHOICES TO YOUR ITINERARY Click on the 'proceed to checkout' button below. This will take you to our booking site where you can add on resorts, number of nights and number of travellers. It will show you the price of each resort as you add them. When you are happy with your selections, you will also have the option to add on Seaspray Sailing Adventure (if you are staying at South Sea Island or Beachcomber). Your transfers will automatically be added on for you. (Note: you can alter your selection at checkout) frequently asked questions and helpful tips
Why should I travel in one direction throughout the islands (South to North or North to South)? What does the 1, 2 and 3 coconut rating system mean? Where can I see the individual prices for each Island Resort? Why is there a minimum 2 night stay at each resort? What is the difference between a 'Build Your Adventure', an 'Island Escape' and a 'Package'? Do I have to book my island transfers separately? What does my transfer pass include? What time does the ferry depart / return to Denarau Marina? I also want to book some activities. Can I do that with 'Build your Adventure'? I'd like more information on the Seaspray Sailing Adventure I am travelling with children. Can I make a booking for them too? I am travelling in a group of three. Are triple rooms available? What if one of the resorts I book is unavailable?
Why should I travel in one direction throughout the islands (South to North or North to South)? The reason we recommend you travel in one direction is so you maximise your time on each island. The Yasawa Flyer travels North up the chain of islands in the morning, stopping off at each resort and back South, down the chain of resorts - again stopping off at each of them - in the afternoon. If you were to jump from south to north, back south and then north again, you'd find you're spending more time on the Flyer than the beach!
If my first resort is 1 coconut, does that mean I can only stay at 1 coconut resorts for the rest of my experience? No, of course not. The idea of 'Build your Adventure' is for the choice to be all yours! So if you want to keep the costs down and stay at budget resorts for a few nights, and other nights treat yourself and stay in the luxury of a 3 coconut resort, you can do this. The choice is all yours! (Note: this only applies to Build Your Adventure. If you are booking a Fiji Fling, Tropical Awegasm, Ultimate Lei, Lazy Threesome or Great Pair, you must travel at the coconut level you first choose).
What does the 1, 2 and 3 coconut rating system mean? Awesome Adventures Fiji identifies three different levels of accommodation in the Yasawa and Mamanuca Island resorts. We do this to suit different tastes and budgets, and to make it easy when deciding which Fiji island resorts are for you. 1 coconut accommodation: The accommodation is basic - don't expect hot water and a hair-dryer! But the beautiful locations make it worthwhile and the resorts have a fantastic, warm Fijian culture. You'll feel part of the family. 2 coconut accommodation: A higher standard of accommodation and amenities than the 1 coconut accommodation, but the resorts still have a strong Fijian culture. 3 coconut accommodation: If you're looking for a small more upmarket resort, offering a personal experience at great value prices then these are for you. Where can I see the individual prices for each Island Resort? When you start adding your choices to your itinerary (click on 'Proceed to checkout' button above), the prices will come up for you on screen. If you want to do your research first, visit the individual island escape pages. At the bottom of the page, you'll see prices. Look at the EXTRA NIGHT rates to work out how much your resort will cost each night.
Why is there a minimum 2 night stay at each resort? The island resorts in the Yasawas are very remote. This is one of the factors that make them so special. But due to their remoteness, a lot of work has to go into hosting a visitor for one night. In the islands, nothing is taken for granted. For example, consider the cost just to get your food up to the islands (most resorts are as self-sufficient as possible, but there are no supermarkets around the corner to stock up on staple requirements). To make it worthwhile for the resorts, they need to apply a minimum 2 night stay. We think once there, you'll appreciate the minimum 2 night stay as it is always so hard to leave. One night is never going to be enough!
What is the difference between a 'Build Your Adventure', an 'Island Escape' and a 'Package'? Island Escapes are perfect if you want to go to just one resort and chill out. It really is for that Fiji Island Escape that you dream of. Packages are designed for those who want to be able to book their experience in one, nice and easy bundle according to our pick of itineraries and 'must do' experiences. Build your Adventure on the other hand, is the ideal choice if you want to design your own itinerary. You can stay at as many resorts as you like, for as long as you desire.
Do I have to book my island transfers separately? No, you don't have to worry about that. You just choose where you want to stay and we'll automatically work out a transfer pass for you. Nice and easy!
What does my transfer pass include? Your transfer pass allows you to hop on and hop off the famous yellow boat, the Yasawa Flyer according to where you are staying. The pass includes coach transfers from most Nadi and Denarau accommodation to Denarau Marina, where you'll board the Flyer for the islands. It also includes your ferry transfers between all your island resorts and back to Denarau Marina on the last day of your adventure. Coach transfers back to most Nadi and Denarau accommodation is also included (you must let us know where you are staying in Nadi/Denarau so that we can arrange your coach transfer). If you haven't booked your Nadi/Denarau accommodation yet, take a look at our Welcome and Departure Packs.
Meals are included in the price of most of the resorts. At some resorts, we do not include meals in the total cost. This means you have to pay for meals directly to the resort. These resorts are: Octopus Resort (FJD$79/night), Mantaray Island Resort (FJD$77/night), Botaira Beach Resort (FJD$80/night), Korovou Deluxe Beachfront Bure ($80/night) - other rooms at Korovou include meals in cost, Nanuya Island Resort (a la carte), Otto & Fanny's (FJD$89/night), Oarsmans Bay Lodge (FJD$77/night) and Blue Lagoon Beach Resort (FJD$79/night). Cost is per person per night.
What time does the ferry depart / return to Denarau Marina? If your first stop is one of the Yasawa Island Resorts, then you'll catch the Yasawa Flyer from Denarau Marina at 8:30am. If your first stop is one of the Mamanuca Resorts (South Sea Island or Beachcomber Island Resort), you can jump on board a South Sea Cruises vessel to head to your resort first thing in the morning, midday or mid afternoon. South Sea Cruises is our sister company. If your last stop is in the Yasawas, you'll arrive back in Denarau Marina approximately 6pm. If your last stop is in the Mamanucas you have the option to return to Denarau at a variety of times from midday. When transferring from island to island your resort will advise what time to expect pick up.
I also want to book some activities. Can I do that with 'Build your Adventure'? If you want to experience ‘Seaspray Sailing Adventure’ around the Mamanuca Islands (we think this is a 'must do'!), we recommend you book this as part of your ‘Build your Adventure’ itinerary. This adventure is available when you stay at South Sea Island or Beachcomber Island Resort. There is a huge range of activities around the islands that you can book when you're at the resorts. Check them out, as they’re a good guide in helping you choose where to stay.
I'd like more information on the Seaspray Sailing Adventure Seaspray is a magnificent classic old sailing schooner. The day sailing adventure offers a fantastic way to explore Fiji's Mamanuca Islands, crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches and colourful lagoons. The day includes a visit to Modriki, the uninhabited island where Tom Hank's movie, Castaway was filmed. At this island you can relax on the beach (it's simply spectacular!), or snorkel along the island's colourful reef. Seaspray then sails to Yanuya Island were you'll visit a traditional Fiji Island village and experience a Kava ceremony (except Sundays). Morning and afternoon tea are included as well as a delicious barbeque lunch. All drinks are included as well with beer, wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee available throughout the day. The 83 foot schooner departs Mana Island daily. Transfers to/from Mana Island are included from South Sea Island and Beachcomber Island. Seaspray can be added on to Build your Adventure as an optional extra when you stay at Beachcomber or South Sea Island.
I am travelling with children. Can I make a booking for them too? Yes you can. If you are travelling with children, please contact Awesome Adventures Fiji Reservations directly: reservations@awesomefiji.com
I am travelling in a group of three. Are triple rooms available? Yes, most resorts do offer triple options. If you want to share a bure, email Awesome Adventures Fiji Reservations directly: reservations@awesomefiji.com. Alternatively, dorms are a great option and can be booked online.
What if one of the resorts I book is unavailable? Island resorts are small and intimate so capacity is limited. This means on rare occasions a resort you select may be full for your chosen dates. If one or more of the resorts you have booked is unavailable/fully booked we will contact you within 48 hours of making your booking to give you the opportunity to transfer to another property or date. If none of these options are acceptable we will refund in full.
