The lovely little resort is much more than accommodation; it is an experience. Established by the Tagova clan of Waya Lailai Island, the family who own and operate Naqalia seek to immerse you in a Fijian way of life.

Your stay at Naqalia Lodge will not only be relaxing but educational as you learn the Fijian culture and traditions. Experience a kava ceremony and join the Naqalia family in singing Fijian songs and sharing stories. Learn how to cook Fijian flavours with a cooking lesson – why not use the fish you catch on your hand-line fishing trip? So you get the picture: this is a warm, welcoming and fun resort. But we haven’t mentioned the location yet! Set on it’s own beach, the bures and dorm peep out towards the water from behind tropical gardens. The accommodation is tidy but basic and the communal dining hall is colourful and cultural. The scenery is simply stunning; Naqalia is situated on Waya Lailai Island, just around the corner from Wayalailai Ecohaven Resort. The mountainous, volcanic peaks are breathtaking and the beaches are pristine!
