You can’t get a more perfect beach than at Oarsmans! This relaxed resort is set on a perfect Fijian beach with palm trees, white sand and turquoise waters.

Your jaw will drop when you see this beach. It really is the Fiji that you see in postcards. The water is so clear and inviting, you’ll want to dive right in. The beach is pristine and blanketed in white sand that stretches for miles, lined by swaying palm trees.

Whether it’s relaxing in the outdoor restaurant and bar, lounging in one of the hammocks scattered along the beach, or joining in a game of volleyball with the friendly Fijian staff, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a more idyllic location to wile away your time.

Oarsmans Bay has excellent swimming and snorkelling at all tides - the waters out front are a protected marine area. There is a range of activities on offer, but if you’re just after relaxation, then there is no better place to do absolutely nothing!

The resort is owned and operated by the Mataqali Natia (meaning ‘group of families’) and their Chief, Ratu Epeli, from nearby Nacula village.

Join the congregation at the local church on Sunday or visit the village during the week to catch a glimpse of island life. Enjoy a Fijian Lovo Dinner and immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of the Yasawan people. The open dining and bar area at the resort has a great feel to it with views out across the bay.

The bures and dorms at Oarsmans are basic but of a good standard. You’ll consider yourself very lucky when you realise you can stay at a mid-range accommodation in such a picturesque setting.

This is a 2 coconut property, meaning the accommodation is more modern than 1 coconut, but you shouldn’t expect fluffy towels and room service!
