7th of January 2019
Further to the previous advisory issued today at 7.30am this morning, please note that the Route 7 service to the Yasawa’s this morning will operate approximately 1 hour & 15 minutes behind schedule. The Yasawa Flyer II was ready to depart this morning however clearance from the Marine Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) was delayed until 9.10am. As a result, the vessel did not depart Port Denarau until 9.45am.
With the vessel now having departed Port Denarau, the Master & crew will continue to monitor sea & weather conditions on Route 7 throughout the day and the service may be suspended with little or no notice if conditions are deemed unsafe to operate. The safety of our customers, crew and vessels are our priority and we will only operate in conditions safe to do so.
Please continue to note that all Yasawa bound Day Cruises ex Port Denarau remain suspended today including Ultimate Encounters, Barefoot Kuata & Yasawa Islands Explorer. Day Cruises to the Yasawa’s will resume from tomorrow, Tuesday 8th of January 2019.
Please continue to monitor resort notice boards, social media feeds or our South Sea Cruises & Awesome Adventures websites for the latest updates. For those wanting to amend travel dates and/or their travel arrangements please contact South Sea Cruises & Awesome Adventures Reservations as per the details below.
Unless services are further disrupted, or weather & sea conditions change this will be the final advisory issued for the Yasawa’s in regard to TC Mona.
