Are there any cultural practices I need to be aware of?
Yes - culture is very important in the islands, so we ask you to respect a few practices upon entering any village.
No hats or sunglasses are to be worn (please do take these with you as it can get hot, but please take care to remove them from your head when in the village).
Ladies are required to have shoulders and knees covered, a sulu (sarong) is a great option to wear when visiting the village and is available for sale on board the Yasawa Flyer if you need one.
Please note that the above requests apply to villages, not resorts. Wearing swimwear, hats, sunglasses etc is completely acceptable at island resorts.
