General Information and Booking Conditions
1. RECONFIRMATION AND CHECK-IN
If not booked locally, all bookings should be reconfirmed with our office the day before departure by phoning Awesome Adventures Fiji on +679 675 0499.
1a. Once in Fiji, if you’d like to speed things up and avoid the queues at the morning departure then you are welcome to check in the day prior at our Port Denarau counter after 10am. You will be given all your necessary documents/vouchers so that you can board the vessel directly the next day. Please take good care of your vouchers as you may be liable to pay for any replacements.
2. COMPLIMENTARY COACH TRANSFERS
Transport to/from Port Denarau is provided by Awesome Adventures Fiji to/from most Nadi, Denarau and Wailoaloa Beach area resorts and Nadi International Airport. Clients must book in advance. If you fail to board, finding your own way to/from Port Denarau will be at your own cost. Please note, there is only one coach returning to resorts in the Wailoaloa Beach area and to Nadi International Airport, departing Port Denarau at approximately 6:15pm.
3. BULA AND AWESOME PASSES
These are valid for the period shown on your pass. If you are travelling outside the date of your pass you will be charged the normal fare for the sector travelled.
3a. Any pass being used by a person other than the owner will be confiscated and the balance of its use will be forfeited.
3b. If you would like to pre-book your Awesome Pass accommodation prior to arrival into Fiji, a credit card authorisation form must be completed, Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Pre-booked accommodation is subject to the cancellation fees listed in Clause 17.
3c. Please look after your Bula or Awesome Pass as lost, stolen or damaged passes cannot be replaced once issued and/or travel has commenced.
4. AWESOME EXPERIENCES ‘FULL MONTY’ ADD-ON
This includes the activities that are identified under the Awesome Experiences ‘Full Monty’ add-on inclusions section for each package. Awesome Experiences ‘Full Monty’ activities are subject to sea and weather conditions. Awesome Adventures Fiji reserves the right to substitute Awesome Experiences ‘Full Monty’ activities with other products in the event that the listed activity is unavailable.
5. PRICES AND CURRENCY
All prices include taxes where applicable. All prices are per person. Double/Twin rates are per person based on a minimum of two people booking and sharing the same room/bure. Extra nights rates are available on request.
5a. Right to Vary: Prices through some agents may vary due to currency fluctuations. Events beyond our control such as currency fluctuations or changes to
the cost of services and facilities may result in the prices charged to you being different. It must be understood that if for any of the reasons mentioned above, price increases or variation of terms are notified to us between the time of booking and departure, we reserve the right to vary the price to you up to the time of your departure.
5b. Fiji Government Tax: All prices include 25% Fiji Government taxes and levies (Value Added Tax, Service Turnover Tax, Environment and Climate Adaptation Levy).
5c. Child Prices: This can vary from property to property therefore all child prices are on application through Awesome Adventures Fiji’s reservations team.
6. INFORMATION IN THE BROCHURE
This brochure was published on 31 December 2018 and is valid for services used 1 April 2019 - 31 March 2020 unless otherwise advised. Exchange rates used when costing this brochure are as at 31 December 2018.
6a. Facilities or services may change after the date of publication. We endeavour to keep travel agents informed of any changes to information in this brochure that are brought to our attention. Prior to booking your trip you should ask your travel agent or Awesome Adventures Fiji about any changes to the published information of which your agent may be aware. You should also make sure that either your travel agent or Awesome Adventures Fiji is able to contact you should you need to be contacted in regards to changes that may occur after booking.
6b. All maps, illustrations and photographs are for indicative purposes only and may not necessarily reflect actual places or positioning.
6c. Accommodation must be consecutive at the same resort to qualify for bonus offers. Important: Resorts have the right to change conditions and bonus offers. Late checkouts are subject to availability at time of stay.
6d. Please note room types can vary across packages.
7. BONUS OFFERS
Bonus offers are only available when booking an Island Escape package and NOT any other package or custom-made itinerary.
8. MEAL COSTS
Where an additional price is shown under ‘Meals’ these rates are per person, either per package or per night and include 3 (three) meals per day stayed. The meal plan is compulsory and must be taken as there are no alternative dining places. The meal plan cost valid at date of travel should be pre-paid at time of booking in your currency or paid directly to the resort in Fijian dollars at check-in. Rates are correct at time of issue and are subject to change.
9. NO CASH AT OARSMAN’S BAY LODGE
Oarsman’s Bay Lodge DOES NOT accept cash. All transactions (i.e. drinks, meals) must be paid by credit card.
10. RIGHT TO VARY
Any necessary changes will be advised prior to travel – as most of the properties featured in our packages are small, they are at times full. When this is the case we reserve the right to substitute a similar property of a similar standard and/or reverse the order of the brochured itinerary.
11. OPEN-DATED BOOKINGS
These apply to Bula and Awesome Passes and Simple Stays and Relaxed Resorts, and are available for travel until 31 March 2020 (a new season’s price surcharge will be charged for travel past this date). Bookings must be confirmed with Awesome Adventures Fiji at least 14 days prior to arrival in Fiji to limit/avoid changes to the brochured itinerary or properties in that package. The above ‘Right to Vary’ conditions apply. Travel must commence no later than 12 months after purchase.
12. CANCELLATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
Awesome Adventures Fiji reserves the right to cancel departures, alter prices, apply a fuel surcharge, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services as necessary. All transfers are subject to sea and weather conditions and operational requirements. Should adverse conditions prevent the operation of our services, Awesome Adventures Fiji will not be held responsible for additional accommodation and/ or alternative travel arrangement costs incurred by customers.
Where another company or persons operate the tour, activity or excursion, diving, accommodation or shore transfers, Awesome Adventures Fiji is only acting as a Sales Agent. Responsibility for the operation and liability for any mishap lies with those operators solely and not with Awesome Adventures Fiji. Awesome
Adventures Fiji is not responsible for missed flights or any associated expenses due to late arrival at check-in counters.
14. VISA REQUIREMENTS
It is the responsibility of all guests travelling with Awesome Adventures Fiji to check and adhere to Fiji’s visa requirements.
15. TRAVEL INSURANCE
There are only very basic medical facilities in the Yasawas so if any medical problem arises you may need to return to Nadi. If you develop a serious medical problem you will most likely want to leave Fiji for Australia, New Zealand or home.
15a. A valid Travel Insurance policy is compulsory when travelling with Awesome Adventures Fiji. Your policy should cover emergency medical treatment and/or evacuation plus insurance cover for cancelled and/or delayed travel expenses incurred due to cancelled or delayed services as the result of weather events or unforeseen operational issues.
16. BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings will not be confirmed until full payment has been received. We will not regard a booking as cancelled unless and until written notice is received by us from you or someone acting on your authority.
16a. No refunds will be issued for unused days on the passes nor for any unused components of the packages, including unused Awesome Experiences 'Full Monty' add-on activities, unless cancellation of vessel services by the Operator, for reasons other than those stated in Clause 13, prevents the product fulfilment. No partial refunds will be issued for any passes once travel has commenced.
16b. Packages, Island Escapes, Welcome and Departure Packs: Cancellation fees apply on the total package price.
Less than 7 days’ notice – 100%
Less than 14 days’ notice – 50%
Less than one month’s notice – 25%
16c. Bula Passes: No cancellation fee applies until the first day of reserved travel. However, in the event of a No Show on the first day of reserved travel, a 100% No Show fee applies. No refund applies on any unused portion after commencement of travel.
16d. Awesome Passes: Cancellation fees apply only to any pre-booked accommodation.

Less than 7 days’ notice – 100%
Less than 14 days’ notice – 50%
Less than one month’s notice – 25%
Lost Awesome Passes will result in the holder paying the accommodation direct to the resort for the night specified on the lost voucher.
16e. Transfers Only: Cancellation fees apply to unused components prior to the original travel date with Awesome Adventures Fiji.
Within 24 hours – 100%
No shows – 100%
No residual refunds for unused components after travel has commenced.
Re-issue documents to other South Sea Cruises services – no fee.
17. AMENDMENT POLICY FOR PACKAGES
Island Escapes, Awesome Pass, Welcome and Departure Packs: Please note that amendment fees will be additional to any amendment/cancellation fees imposed by the resort(s) affected. Change of booking within 24 hours of travel, including after travel has commenced will incur a FJD$100 amendment fee.
More than 24 hours’ notice – FJD$25
More than 1 (one) month’s notice prior to
commencement of travel – no charge.
17b. Bula Pass: No amendment fee applies prior to travel as the pass is not activated until the first day of travel. Any amendments made after travel commences will incur a FJD$25 amendment fee.
17c. Bula and Awesome Passes: These passes can be extended anytime during travel but prior to expiry by paying the price difference up to the longer pass of
your choice. This can be done at the Travel Desk on board the Awesome Adventures Fiji vessel. Please note an amendment fee of FJD$25 applies.
18. ADMINISTRATION FEE
An administration fee of 3% is applied to all credit card transactions
19. COMPANY INFORMATION
Awesome Adventures Fiji is a trading brand of South Sea Cruises Pte Limited, a company incorporated in Fiji. Any reference to Awesome Adventures Fiji or to South Sea Cruises is in reference to South Sea Cruises Pte Limited.
20. CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE
Travel with Awesome Adventures Fiji is subject to our Conditions of Carriage. A copy is held in our offices or can be viewed here.
20b. Some properties have an individual charge for the long boat connection from this service - payable directly to resort. Passengers travelling to Viwa Island disembark this service at Octopus Resort and transfer on Viwa's own vessel - payable directly to resort. Where another company or persons operate the shore transfers South Sea Cruises Fiji is only acting as a Sales Agent. Responsibility for the operation and liability for any mishap lies with those operators solely and not with South Sea Cruises.
21. CHARTER FOR ADDRESSING PROBLEMS
In the event you strike a problem or you are dissatisfied with some aspect of the service or facilities during the course of your trip, our recommendation is to discuss the issue immediately with the service supplier at the time or as practicable in the circumstance. This provides the opportunity to resolve the issue at the time and for you to continue to enjoy your travel experience. Our experience is that seeking a resolution to your satisfaction once travel has been completed is difficult. Should you require our assistance, please contact our Awesome Adventures Fiji office immediately and they will assist in resolving
the issue to your satisfaction.
