Barefoot Manta Island is a marine protected area which lies in a superb location between 3 beaches. Sunrise Beach is for the early birds, Sunset Beach for the afternoon cocktails and Manta Ray Beach overlooks the well-known Manta Ray channel.
Every year between May and October a population of manta rays visit the channel to feed on plankton and socially interact. The in-house Marine Biology team carries out their research on mantas as well as clams, coral and fish species present in this marine protected area surrounding the island.
Barefoot Manta Island is home to the Vinaka Fiji Volunteer program, so you can meet the team and volunteers involved in the educational, sustainable living and marine projects taking place around Naviti. Between diving off the best beach, abseiling down rocky outcrops or attending marine educational sessions you can decide the best way to spend your day. Complimentary WiFi and snorkelling gear provided.
